Quick Tips For Not Stifling a Child’s Creativity

My college art teacher once told the following story: His wife was volunteering in a first grade classroom in which the teacher had the students draw a picture. As the teacher was walking around the room she noticed a little boy who had a drawn a house with a person standing next to it.

The teacher stated, “Look at the size of the person you drew, there is no way they could fit inside that house.”

The boy responded, “That’s OK, he doesn’t live there.”

A few good reminders on what not to do so we don’t stifle a child’s creativity. Read the article here: How to Encourage Creativity
